Rippa and his duck

In October 1999, we travelled to San Francisco to attend the VIZSLA CLUB of AMERICA Nationals events. It was there that we first met Barrie and Hilarie and formed a very strong friendship.  Our discussions about dogs led to the eventual import of "Rippa", and our export of "Koa", Canadian Champion Abbiestar Koa of Piroska.
At the Nationals, I was lucky enough to handle one of the Brinkworth's dogs for them,
and even luckier to win a prize!!

Michael and Sandra Stuart...met at a dog show ten years ago.  Very quickly we became best friends and then got married.  In the speech given by Michael's father at our wedding, he attested that for us, "...cupid came in the form of an Hungarian Vizsla, and another and another..."  We couldn't agree more.  Every spare moment is dedicated to our wonderful dogs and even a lot of moments which are not spare.  They give us a tremendous amount of joy and we are very proud of our mutual achievements.

About our home.......

Situated at the top of a hill in a seaside Melbourne suburb, we enjoy magnificent views of the bay and coastline.
Originally known as "Surrey Lodge" our home is a local historical icon, being the chosen residence of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell. Lord Baden-Powell was the founder of the Scout movement.

In 1934 when the Scout Jamboree was held locally, Lord and Lady Baden-Powell lived in our home.

Now nine years old and enjoying her retirement, her contribution to our kennel and the breed is noted in her five titled progeny.

"Reuben"

Reuben has done most of his competition predominantly in the obedience ring and has been critically acclaimed as one of the best obedience Vizslas of his day.  Reuben has NEVER been beaten in the obedience trials he has entered.  His novice level scores to gain his CD title have left him unbeaten and unequalled by any Vizsla in Australian Obedience at novice level. He never competed past novice and was retired early after an altercation with a motor car.
